“Youth Starts” in grades 9-10

The Business and Business Simulation Game is part of the business lessons in the 9L, 10M and 10P classes.

The students learn the basic concepts of business administration and create a business plan.

Teacher Stefan Wiesmann: “Learning by doing also applies to economics lessons. Our students learn to structure their business ideas, define clear goals and work together as a team. Just like in professional practice.”

“Jugend gründet” is a two-stage nationwide online competition for students and trainees. Within the two phases of the competition, participation is flexible in terms of time. Our classes have been working on it since the autumn holidays.

First phase: brainstorming and business plan

In the beginning there is the idea. The task is to translate an innovative business idea into a business plan.

With the help of the canvas poster and a business plan template (mandatory), the idea becomes a business plan. In order to fill in the fields in the business plan, help texts are available directly behind the question marks in the business plan template.

The teams’ business plans must be saved on the website by January 2019. Only what has been saved by the deadline will be evaluated by the jury. The most important dates of the current competition year are listed at “What’s on” on the start page and in the schedule overview.
